[Intended use] It is used to detect PCT content in human blood/plasma in vitro, which can assist in the early clinical diagnosis of related bacterial infections.
[Principle of experiment] This kit uses the double antibody sandwich method to determine the level of human procalcitonin (PCT) in the specimen. Coat the microplate with purified human procalcitonin (PCT) antibody to prepare a solid-phase antibody, and add human procalcitonin (PCT) to the microwells coated with monoclonal antibody in turn, and then mix with HRP-labeled human calcitonin. Procalcin (PCT) antibody binds to form an antibody-antigen-enzyme-labeled antibody complex, which is washed thoroughly and then the substrate TMB is added for color development. TMB is converted to blue under the catalysis of HRP enzyme and to the final yellow under the action of acid. The shade of color is positively correlated with human procalcitonin (PCT) in the sample. The absorbance (OD value) was measured with a microplate reader at a wavelength of 450 nm, and the concentration of human procalcitonin (PCT) in the sample was calculated from the standard curve.
